Amarea Resort Ubud by Ini Vie Hospitality has introduced a new identity as an Art and Culture Resort, inspired by the essence of Balinese dance. The concept weaves live performances, dance classes, and community activities into the guest journey, inviting visitors to connect with one of the island’s most treasured traditions, right where they stay.

Dance at Every Moment of the Stay
At Amarea, Balinese dance accompanies guests from the first hello to the final goodbye:
- Arrival: During check-in hours, guests are greeted with a welcoming dance in the Peliatan style, a graceful tradition from one of Ubud’s most celebrated dance villages.
- Breakfast: Two live performances take place each morning, at 09:00 and 10:00, each featuring a different dance to enjoy over the first meal of the day.
- Departure: Between 11:30 and 13:00, a farewell dance sends guests off with a lasting impression of Balinese artistry.
Learning the Art, Together
Every Sunday, the resort’s yoga shala becomes a dance studio for young children, led by local dance group Sanggar Tapak Dara. The initiative supports the next generation of Balinese dancers while giving guests a rare glimpse into how the tradition is passed down.
The resort’s chapel also hosts dance classes, where a visiting teacher guides children through the movements and expressions of Balinese dance. Guests are welcome to join, with the Amarea Guest Relations team on hand to help them take their first steps.
We want our guests to feel that spirit in a personal way, not only as an audience but as part of the experience, while also supporting local artists and young dancers in our community.
