Our Story: A Courtyard Hideaway Between Field & Sea

What Makes Athene Villa Seseh Different

Many villas on Bali's west coast offer a pool, but at Athene Villa Seseh, every villa comes with its own private pool and walled courtyard.

Designed for privacy and quiet relaxation, each space offers a personal retreat in the village of Seseh. A dedicated host is available throughout your stay, attentive when you need assistance and discreet when you prefer to unwind in your own space.

Balinese Courtyard Modernism

Black lava-stone walls bring the volcanic shore home. Terracotta breeze blocks let light and air through. Timber lattice, rattan and woven bamboo ceilings carry the craft of weaving into every room.

Between Field & Sea

Working rice fields surround the villas, and Seseh's black-sand beach is a short walk away. Canggu's cafés are within easy reach, yet its noise stays far behind.

Hosted, Not Programmed

There is no activity board and no fixed schedule. Your personal host offers, and the two of you decide.

Why We Are Called Athene

Why We Are Called Athene

In an old Greek story, two gods wanted the same city. Poseidon gave the sea. Athena planted an olive tree. The city chose her and became Athens.

Athene is the older spelling of her name, the one Homer used. Athens had to choose. You don't.

The Mark

Blades of rice rise above two rolling waves. The field above, the sea below, and the villa right where they meet.

The People Behind Your Stay

One personal host looks after every stay, a WhatsApp message away. Warm, attentive and quietly present, so the stay stays yours.
